Can a New Ice Cream Help You Beat the Flu?
There's an ice cream company in Ohio called Jeni's, and they're trying to pioneer the field of virus-fighting ice cream. They're selling a new flavor called INFLUENZA SORBET . . . which just might help you fight the FLU.
Influenza Sorbet is made with cayenne pepper, ginger, honey, fruit juices . . . and MAKER'S MARK WHISKEY. That combo is supposedly enough to take on all your flu symptoms, like sore throats, headaches, and congestion.
Jeni's says the flavor tastes like, quote, "a whiskey sour with a spicy kick."
They're selling it at jenis.com for $12-a-pint. Which is extremely expensive for a pint of ice cream. But if it works, it's DEFINITELY worth it.
Another New Study Finds the Smartest Time to Book Flights:
Here's some advice as you're making your travel plans this year. A massive new study has figured out the SMARTEST time to book your flights. And they're pretty easy to remember. Check 'em out . . .
The best time to book a domestic flight is exactly SEVEN WEEKS in advance. That's when the price will be the lowest.
The best time to book an international flight is THREE MONTHS beforehand.
And the best time to book a trip for a holiday like Thanksgiving or Christmas is about 13 to 14 weeks in advance.
If you want to fly somewhere very last minute, think international, not domestic. International tickets are more likely to go DOWN in price the day or two before the flight . . . domestic tickets are more likely to go WAY UP.
And it doesn't matter what day of the week you book, but it WILL save you money to fly on a Tuesday or Wednesday.
Mugshot of the Day: A Massive-Breasted 22-Year-Old Woman is Busted for "Smuggling Cocaine and Heroin in [Her] Coochie":
Last week, 22-year-old Samantha Kurdilla of Washington, Pennsylvania was crossing the border from Tijuana, Mexico into the U.S. when a DRUG DOG started sniffing around her, quote, "groin area."
She told Customs and Border Protection agents that she didn't have any drugs on her. They ended up searching her, and found a condom with about 100 grams of cocaine hidden inside her LOVE TUNNEL.
Customs officials also have another piece of evidence against Samantha. They searched her cell phone and found a text she'd sent from Tijuana saying, quote, "I'm smuggling cocaine and heroin in my coochie."
The search didn't turn up any heroin. Samantha and a guy she was traveling with are facing felony drug smuggling charges.
